Yep!! Great for team lunches too!
The location is very convenient, the prices are great and the quality of the products is amazing!
I absolutely love this place! This hidden gem is absolutely fantastic. The ambience hits you as you walk up the stairs and continues as you enter and see the well stocked and colorful bar. I love that this space was once a home. The tacos were excellent and this is not a Mexican restaurant :)
Being from NOLA I'd say Flatlands does a pretty job at capturing the ambiance and flavor of New Orleans. They have a nice quaint location just off Alpharetta Highway and is in walking distance of many other downtown attractions. I particularly enjoyed the staff here and guess what? I made my reservations with Google Assistant and they got it right! Definitely give Flatlands a try and you will leave full and very happy 😉😁.
GREAT food, vibes, and customer service. I came here unexpectedly today and had the best food and service that I’ve had all year. I don’t remember our waitresses name but she was very kind and knowledgeable about the ENTIRE menu. It took us 20 minutes to decide on what we wanted to eat because the menu was insanely attractive. For a guy who loves Louisiana dishes and has visited Atlanta 2 times in his lifetime, you guys definitely left one hell of an impression. Keep up the good work! Btw we loved the pond...the coi fish were doing tricks for us 🤣
The portions are small. The food was good at this restaurant.
The food was great.
Always amazing atmosphere, delicious food and great service, year after year
We stumbled upon this place because the restaurant we wanted to go to went out of business. I read the reviews and decided it was a go. Our server James was patient with us since we were first timers. The food was delicious! I had the catfish Pontchartrain. I would definitely go back.
I would give the food a 4.5. Everything looked great, fresh and tasted wonderful. I would give the service a 2. Not friendly at all. It's a small place, so we had no problem flagging down someone if we needed anything, but not one person greeted us or checked on us during our meal. We were a group of 4 people, and we had to ask the people at the next table if we look look at their drinks menu. Waitress was deadpan, and changed shifts in the middle of our meal. The second one was fine, but again, never checked on us. The most friendly employee was the runner who brought our food out. The food is very good and the atmosphere is good as well. Hopefully, they'll work on their staff. It's not very difficult to at least pretend to be welcoming and glad to have patrons.
If you want a true taste of NOLA, this is the place!
Absolutely spectacular cajun style couisine. The dishes are generous and flavorful, a feast for the mouth, the eyes and smell. Watch it though, if the menu says its spicy, they are NOT kidding around. Special applause to their red wine with a hint of bourbon, you have to try it. I had the shrimp Andouille Nola style and it was absolutely spectacular. Their gumbo is an absolute must and i enjoyed their gator bites very much. Dont miss this place, you will regret it.
Authentic cajun food in Alpharetta. What more could you ask for? This place will give the folks in NA a run for the money. I highly recommend the Crawfish Etouffee. Hot and spicy!
Food was delicious, food came fast once it came server didnt really come back to table much but overall good experiance. Alligator bites were delicious. Hurricane drink was way too strong for me
Worst restaurant experience by far. Don’t waste your time or money. We had 2 waiters that did less work than 1 normal waiter would. We ordered a dozen oysters, and they came out with 7 crackers. Finished our app before we got water or our drinks (had to ask 2 people for our drinks before they came out 25 minutes after being seated). Ordered a sangria, but got a watered down iced red wine instead. Ordered salmon, and it came out raw over a bed of sugar coated rice. Had to ask another waiter to get our check (after being done with our meal for 20 mins), because our waiters were too busy literally chasing each other around the parking lot to bother checking on us once. Ended up spending $115 on awful food and awful service. Literally go anywhere else.
Really delicious Cajun and Creole food in a cool environment. Unique drinks and great service. I could make an entire meal out of the Cajun street corn it is so good. Their fried foods are terrific, from the fried chicken and alligator bites to the fried catfish too. The stuffed pork is tender and flavorful and the creole pasta is a spicy, creamy treat.
Very good ,some what prices for lunch ,Should have a appetizer platter ,will go back
Had the gumbo and the special which was essentially the Catfish Pontchartrain but with trout instead and andoule sausage added. Food was spot on. I really enjoyed it and look forward to going back.
I loved the Flatlands Bourbon n Bayou entrees n drinks! The atmosphere transports you right to the back alley, just off Bourbon Street! The Catfish Ponchatrain was amazing, with just the right amiuny of spice. The Grilled Oysters tasted fabulous, but we're slightly smaller than expected, as was the Gator Bites (maybe out of Season in early Feb). However, the Service was spot-on, very attentive and the Drinks were perfectly scripted!I'll update my post (hopefully to 5-stars) after my next visit - where I plan on trying their infamous Gumbo. The others in our party loved the Gumbo!
Came here for the first time and will come back again. Great food and great service. Cajun pasta was amazing and catfish poboy sandwich was great too. Nice place.
Wow. Wow. Wow. Great food, great service. Great bourbon and great cajun!!! You can't go wrong going here.
Very good and cozy. The food was soo tasty.
Great food! Great service! Will be back.
I adore this place! They prepare first-rate food, their menu is nice, The cook in that spot is a real authority in the kitchen, I love a lot trying all their food. The food is consistently of high qualtity, the service towards the clients is agreeable. I often go to this restaurant and I was never unhappy. I highly recommend it.
I have eaten here 3 times and I am craving a return trip right now. Each time the food was fantastic! And I consider myself a seafood connoisseur since I was practically raised on fresh shrimp in Charleston, SC. I am always on the hunt for something that reminds me of home and their fried shrimp was so good that I refused to share it with my husband. J/K Ok I found it extremely difficult to share. The wait staff was attentive each time I have been. Tables were not clean each time but, if you can overlook that, you will enjoy. Very nice courtyard if you like to eat outside. Love the gator bites, too. See you there!
This place was great the beans and rice was very good! This is a small place in the rear of some buildings be careful or you will miss it! Everything is wonderful very fresh.
We searched for an amazing New Orleans style restaurant to enjoy for our anniversary and were so disappointed. We must have gotten a bad batch of gumbo because I can’t imagine anyone liking it as spicy as it came to us. I like spicy, but it just overpowered everything else. Also there was nothing in the gumbo. It was roux and rice with extremely fine bits of chicken(I mean a string here and there). We also ordered the stuffed mushrooms and they had zero flavor and were completely dry, not to mention $15 for 4 small mushrooms. We ordered gator bites, catfish, crawfish, and the fried chicken. They all tasted the same.🤷🏼♀️ We were really looking forward to this place, but would not recommend based on our experience. It was not reflective of the reviews I read before going unfortunately.
We loved there crab dip and fish pontchartran. The shrimp andouille NOLA style was a little salty for our taste. The service was OK.Cost for 2 came to $80 for 1 starter, 1 drink, 2 entrees and 2 sides.
Food is tasty and this is my first time Louisiana style food. I loved it.One thing needs to change is keep some social distancing between customers at pandemic time.
Lovely back patio under the trees and the red rainbow trout is sublime.
Great bourbon selection, wonderful cocktails, delish appetizers, salads and entrees. The people and service were terrific! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting.
Really lovely people and the food was just what we needed!
Small charming restaurant. Very small menu. Has the main essentials for Cajun/Creole food. Pricing is typical for a sit down restaurant. Flavors are fantastic. Definitely reccomend for a casual dinner or lunch.
I had a great time here. the dry ice drinks were great and the gator bites appetizer was delicious. service was attentive and friendly. Our waitress took exceptional care of us even with the restaurant being so busy. I had the chicken sandwich that I was underwhelmed by. it was charred but tasted too salty. the bread it was served on was pretty good though. with this being a seafood place, I can't really be too upset about my chicken sandwich. the side mac and cheese was also a little less flavorful than expected. everything else was great. I would definitely come back.
Went here on a date, everything was fabulous! The food was delicious, our server Anna was engaging and knowledgeable, and the restaurants outdoor space was comfortable! I can’t wait to come back, (possibly tonight😂) to try more menu creations!
I ordered 3 fried shrimp basket to go. When I got home no cocktail sauce. Nothing better than hot shrimp with no sauce or cold shrimp with cocktail sauce. I called to complain and they said they put in some special sauce that they didn't. All I got was fries, shrimp and some smokie tasting cabbage and lip when I complained. Happy Father's day.
This place is wonderful! The servers and Chef Francios are amazing. The drinks are on point and the atmosphere is spectacular!
The food is amazing and very flavorful! My husband is a NOLA native and this is his favorite restaurant!
Food was spicy and great if you like Cajun. Drinks where also really good. It’s a smaller venue so if you can make a reservation. Overall this might be one of my new favorites for date night. Pics are the mule drink, shrimp and grits, jambalaya and Mac and cheese side.
Friendly staff, good atmosphere, great food!Went here for lunch and got the shrimp and sausage with red beans and rice, and It was delicious! I could probably make a meal out of a large portion of the red beans and rice on its own! The sausage was great, and the shrimp was cooked well, however the sauce on the shrimp was a little overpoweringly sweet. My friend had the Bayou burger, and it was so big he could barely get his mouth around it!
Have had my share of crab dips but this by far is my favorite! Great bourbon selection, high end to low end prices
Great Cajun restaurant, food was well seasoned and very good. Only rated it ok due to the alligator bites being fairly underwhelming, $14 for a few bits wasn't really worth it and our waiter was not very good. I ordered a Cadillac margarita with a Grand Marnier float on top, which was over priced at $16 but I had high hopes for it. Tasted it and it wasn't very good and the waiter didn't get the concept of adding a splash of Grand Marnier on top and gave me an extra shot on the side and charged me $15 dollars or so for it. Huge let down. Also no itemized receipt so I didn't know how much it actually was. Two people, two entree's, one appetizer, one ordered drink, one drink I didn't ask for ended up totalling $110, a bit much in my opinion for what the food was.
Small charming restaurant. Very small menu. Has the main essentials for Cajun/Creole food. Pricing is typical for a sit down restaurant. Flavors are fantastic. Definitely reccomend for a casual dinner or lunch.
Great Location. They essentially converted a house into a restaurant. The service is excellent. The ambiance is great. Food is really good. Ordered Cajun Fried chicken, Fries and corn. It was delicious.
Shrimp and Grits were just spicy enough. Delicious! The street corn was also amazing!
Was absolutely great. Fried chicken was incredible
Catfish ponchartrain is a fantastic dish. Bring your appetite for this one. Newly tried is the Louisiana Mule- my new favorite porch pounder! It’s a very easy drinking mule with Blueberry notes!
Food is amazing! Customer service is awesome I'll definitely be back.
Fabulous food, drinks, ambiance and service! ‘nuf said!
You will not regret a visit here. Great drink selection and the food us fantastic. The staff was great with suggestions and very attentive. We had 4 guests and each sampled of each other's dishes. Everything was delicious. They also have the best fried oysters I've ever tried.
Finally we found a great Cajun restaurant in Georgia, amazing flavors in all dishes, gumbo is a must , service very friendly and attentive, overall a great culinary experience, it took me back to my Louisiana days!!!
